We are always proud of our extremely bright, sweet, loving, and fun girls; but today we are especially proud of Mikaila and her new accomplishment of "Speech Graduate"!!! Yes, today our Mikaila, (the one who used to have to act out most of her words to communicate because she just Could Not physically get them out; the one whom I would have to interpret "her language" to others; the one who was diagnosed with a Severe Articulation Disorder;) is no longer eligible for speech therapy! And after meeting with her speech teacher today... her speech teacher adores her so much, called her the perfect student; and when her speech teacher told her that she was graduating Mikaila said, "No!!!! I want to stay in speech forever!" Mikaila loves it and they love her. She has worked Very Hard and has amazed us all with her leaps and bounds progress!! We are so proud of her!I also met with her 1st grade teacher Ms. Hollis today who compared Mikaila to "a breath of fresh air" and "if she only had a room full of Mikailas." They couldn't say enough about how great she is. Also, Mikaila's teacher said her reading level is off the charts. She thinks she is reading at about a "5th grade" reading level !!! Wow! Go Mikaila! You are amazing!
